Ordering
You can order goods via the online shop, by email, telephone, fax or in person at the bicycle shop in Basel.
The minimum order value is CHF 50.–. For smaller orders, we charge a small-quantity surcharge; see ‘Delivery and delivery charges in Switzerland’.
Please complete the online or email order form in full: item number, exact item description, size, quantity and colour. It is important that you provide your full address so that we can contact you (regarding queries, any delivery delays, alternative products, etc.).
Prices / VAT
Prices are retail prices and are generally quoted net, excluding installation, but including VAT.
Exception: In the case of quotations – e.g. for a bicycle parking system – prices are quoted excluding VAT.
Delivery and delivery charges in Switzerland
The actual delivery charges will be invoiced. For first-time orders from customers unknown to us, we reserve the right to dispatch the goods only upon receipt of payment in advance.
Free delivery for orders over CHF 300.00 (excluding cycle racks, cycle shelters and cycle parking systems, which are subject to their own delivery terms).
Delivery is usually via the DHL parcel service, at the recipient’s expense and risk. We usually dispatch bicycles or bicycle stands via a haulage contractor.
We charge postage or freight costs and packaging at cost price. These are payable by the customer and amount to CHF 11.50 per parcel. If multiple parcels are required, the customer pays for only one.
Small-quantity surcharge: For orders with a value of less than CHF 50.00, we charge
postage/packaging + small-quantity surcharge: CHF 11.50 + 10.00 = CHF 21.50.
Free collection from the bike shop in Basel
If you collect your order from our warehouse or from the Veloladen shop in Basel, Gundeldingen, the delivery charges and the small-quantity surcharge will be waived.
No international deliveries
Due to the effort, hassle and customs formalities involved, we do not deliver goods abroad.
However, customers from abroad are very welcome to purchase and collect the products they require from our bike shop in Basel, Gundeldingen, during shop opening hours.
Alternatively, you can provide a postal address in Switzerland.
Online Shop: Terms of Use and Contract
New customers must set up a user account and will be issued with a customer number.
The sales contract for online orders is concluded upon delivery of the goods, not upon submission of the online order or receipt of the automatic email order confirmation. The email order confirmation merely confirms receipt of the order. We reserve the right, if necessary, not to deliver at all or to supply goods of equivalent value.
Changes to the product range, models and prices
We reserve the right to make changes to the product range, models and prices, and to correct any errors or omissions. The prices valid on the day of delivery will be charged. Price changes may also occur before they have been updated in the online shop.
Payment / Payment methods
We only deliver first-time orders against prepayment.
You can pay in the shop using the following payment methods: credit cards (VISA, American Express, etc.), debit cards such as PostCard, MasterCard, etc., PostFinance, TWINT and PayPal. We deliver subsequent orders on account, payable within 30 days.

Exchanges
Exchanges must be made within 8 working days of receipt of the goods. For obvious reasons, we can only exchange or accept returns of undamaged and fault-free goods in their original packaging. When returning goods, please state the reason for the exchange and enclose a copy of the invoice. We will provide you with a replacement or a credit note for the net value of the goods, less 10% to cover our costs.
We cannot process unstamped parcels, goods without their original packaging, parcels without a return address, or parcels without a covering letter or a copy of the invoice.
No exchanges on special-order items
We cannot exchange special items which we have to source at the customer’s request and which are not part of the Vitelli range.
Backlogs
Backorders with a value of less than CHF 50.00 will be automatically included with the next order. Backorders worth more than CHF 50.00 will be automatically dispatched separately.
Transport damage
Customers are obliged to check the goods for transport damage upon receipt and must report any damage to the carrier or the Post Office immediately; otherwise, no liability will be accepted.
Warranty and liability
The warranty period is two years from the date of purchase. We shall only honour the warranty to the extent that it is provided by our suppliers. Shipping, disassembly and assembly costs are borne by the customer. Parts covered by the warranty will be replaced and not credited.
Our liability is limited to the quality of the products. In the event of a product being of defective quality, only the value of the goods will be reimbursed. We accept no liability for any further damage.
Restrictions on deliveries outside the Vitelli Velobedarf AG product range
In principle, we can order and purchase products that are not included in our range. However, we will neither order nor supply products which, due to protection under trade name, patent or territorial rights, may give rise to legal disputes.
Place of jurisdiction
Should it no longer be possible to reach an amicable settlement in the event of a dispute, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes shall be Basel. Swiss law shall apply.
