The Vitelli workshop and bike shop in Basel

The Vitelli cycle shop comprises a cycle workshop and a cycle shop in Basel’s Gundeli district. It is a five-minute walk from the rear exit of the SBB railway station. Our bike workshop has three workstations, and the shop displays bikes and accessories. Here you can buy everything from the Vitelli catalogue (in German only). We offer the following services:

Repairs to bicycles, e-bikes, cargo bikes, longtails, tricycles, etc.

  • All repairs and replacement of faulty components (drivetrain, brakes, lights, tyres, etc.)
  • From a quick check-up to a full service
  • During the colder months, we offer a special winter service
  • Where possible, you’ll be provided with a loan bike
  • Spare parts

For e-bikes, we repair all mechanical parts. There may be restrictions regarding the drive system, motor and battery, depending on the make. We do not repair e-scooters, but we do offer replacement tyres.

As prices are subject to change, we have a price list available for you in the workshop. All prices are indicative. Depending on the age and condition of the bike, the cost may be higher. In the event of significant variations, the customer will be informed by telephone before the repair takes place.

The Vitelli cycle shop is just a few minutes’ walk from the SBB railway station or tram and bus stops. If you’re travelling by car: there are only a few short-stay parking spaces (30 mins) available for loading and unloading. We recommend the multi-storey car parks at the SBB railway station.

Test rides and showroom

Cargo bikes, folding bikes and, above all, adult tricycles and gondolas take some getting used to when riding. We therefore recommend that you take these specialist bikes for a test ride. In the shop and, in particular, in our showroom, we have a number of models on display and ready for you to test ride.

Some of the models with motor assistance up to 25 km/h have very powerful motors. We’ll brief you before you set off and recommend that you wear a helmet, even though it isn’t compulsory.
