Pfautec – Adult tricycles made in Germany

Tricycles are ideal for anyone who feels unsafe in traffic or has limited mobility. They are particularly popular with older people who want to cycle to the shops or go on an outing.

Vitelli Velobedarf is one of very few cycle retailers to stock tricycles for adults. We currently stock four carefully selected models from the German manufacturer Pfautec: VIDA, ENO AP, TAMO AP and the sleek SCOOBO SMART. We can order further models from Pfautec on request.

The advantages of our tricycles include the practical low step-through frame, a comfortable riding position and an extra-large luggage basket. All models feature a differential and good suspension.

We usually have one model on display in our showroom or shop, but not always. Please ring us in advance so we can arrange an appointment with you. That way, we can advise you in-store and you can take a test ride.

Pfautec adult tricycles are superbly equipped!

Excellent brakes, a parking brake and LED lights ensure safety, whilst suspension forks and seat suspension provide the necessary comfort. The VIDA is fitted with powerful V-brakes, a coaster brake and a hub dynamo. We stock both 24-inch tricycles and a 16–20-inch tricycle.

The TAMO AP, ENO AP and SCOBO SMART e-tricycles are fitted with disc brakes and battery-powered lights. Unlike the VIDA, these three models are motorised.

Which model for which use?

The VIDA is suitable for predominantly flat terrain and is an affordable and very lightweight everyday tricycle. The ENO AP and TAMO AP electric tricycles are fitted with powerful Bosch motors offering a good range, making them suitable for gentle inclines, longer journeys and day trips. Due to the motor and battery, the motorised models are slightly heavier. What they all have in common is the very low and comfortable step-through frame, which allows riders to mount the tricycle effortlessly and set off straight away.

The motor assistance for tricycles is limited to a maximum of 25 km/h, which is already quite fast for a tricycle. The motor is therefore primarily intended as pedal assistance.

Pfautec 24-inch tricycle, VIDA model

Scoobo Smart – the electric tricycle with 16- and 20-inch wheels

If you’d like something a bit more agile, go for the Scoobo Smart. Thanks to its smaller wheels, the centre of gravity is lower. Instead of a standard bike seat, this tricycle has an armchair-style seat. This significantly increases seating comfort. It can also carry a heavier load, accommodating riders weighing up to 130 kg. The Racktime box can hold up to 20 kg.
